UPDATE: As of 3/7/19 - this deal is still available.
You’ve probably seen the commercials regarding Ebates, as a great place to earn cash back for your online shopping purchases. Lately they also stepped their game up with allowing you to earn American Express Membership Reward Points instead as well (note, you’ll need to sign up with a different account). With spring break travel season in full swing, they’re currently offering a deal for 10% or 10x back on Marriott bookings today only.
If you choose to go the Membership Rewards route, you can earn 10 Membership Rewards points per dollar (on the room rate before taxes). This can translate into a pretty deal due to the fact that you’re still booking directly and thus would still get points, elite credit, elite benefits, and more.
Get 10% cash back or 10x Membership Rewards points back today only at Ebates.
If you are new to Ebates and wish to earn Membership Rewards points, head to this link here (non-affiliate).

Nick Reyes, writing for FrequentMiler notes:
While the Ebates site says that “specially negotiated rates, where the customer is required to be affiliated with or employed by a particular company or organization to receive the special rate (e.g., government rate or the Marriott employee rate)“, I’ve anecdotally found that booking the AAA rate can be an eligible rate for cash back. YMMV (a strict reading of the terms might be taken to mean that AAA rates aren’t eligible, so it’s always possible something could change).
Keep in mind also that there is no way to apply this to a previous booking; you would need to cancel your existing booking and re-book through Ebates today (though you’ll of course want to check to make sure rates haven’t increased). Cash back posts within a few weeks after completing your stay.
